We have had horses with Chris and Sarah since 2022, though our relationship goes back much further – Sarah and I met when I was in high school and her Dad was one of my riding coaches. Having ridden with her back when we were teenagers, I’m not surprised at all that she is now one of the top cow horse trainers in the world. I can’t say enough about Chris and Sarah – they’re great to work with, honest about how our horses are progressing, help us acquire some of the best prospects in the industry, and it’s really nice knowing your horse has two shots at making an Open horse with two of the best trainers and showmen in the industry who each have different strengths. So far, the Dawsons have been 2 for 2 on making the Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Finals on my 3yos.

Our Team

Deary Performance Horses
I am grateful that Casey took me under his wing in 2017 and started helping guide me towards acquiring better mares. When we couldn’t buy the mares we wanted, he helped me find embryos and prospects to start building a program around. He continues to ride and show horses for me, but what I would consider our biggest win to date is that Casey won the 2021 NRHA Open Futurity on Ten Thirty, a horse that I bred out of one of my family’s homegrown mares. He also helped me buy half of Lonely At The Top which led to my second NRHA Open Futurity win a few years later with her first foal to show – Crystalized Whizkey. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
Reproduction and Foal Care
The Ranch Equine
JAF, Dr. Uselton, Lindsey, and their team are top notch when it comes to mare and foal care and communication. I’ve had my horses with them since I started my business and am always impressed with their attention to detail and awareness of the horses in their care. We’ve had a lot of breeding success with them and they have raised many of our champion foals including Ten Thirty and Rebel Wth A Cause.
Reproduction and Foal Care
Foals-R-Us
Lorenzo has done some of our embryo work and raised a few foals for us over the years. He is always good at communicating, takes great care of the mares and foals, and has a good selection of recips to work with. I enjoy working with Lorenzo and am very happy to consider him a part of our team.
Reproduction and Foal Care
Genetech
Although we do not do a lot of ICSI with our mares, we have transitioned to Genetech since they opened based on our previous relationship with Thiago. They have the best communication when it comes to the process and progress of the maturation, and their success rates through all phases are very good and continue to improve. For our limited ICSI work, we are very happy to give Genetech our business and have had great results.
Sale Fitting
ProFit Equine
Lorenzo has been helping us evaluate our yearlings and which sales to put them through for years. What started as always having the highest quality sale videos and photos to advertise has evolved into also putting on a series of well-respected, high grossing sales as well. He represents the horses he’s selling honestly and the horses that have gone through his fitting program are always well turned out. Lorenzo has helped us sell many great horses including Ten Thirty.
